The wildflower hunt wasn't too successful. My friends and I eventually saw two varieties, but the collections were sparce.
On the other hand, we did utilize what visual elements were available. First, there was an old rusted sign covered with bird feces and other unknown dried liquids. As you can see it has been peppered with bullets.
My friends also played on a couple of illegally discarded tires. We witnessed a polluted sunset as well. Later as we drove back to town, we saw two owls, or their silhouettes rather, perched on electrical poles.
And, thank goodness it hasn't haunted my dreams, but I hit what I think was a jack rabbit. I was a bit disturbed for unintentionally killing something that was alive moments ago. Jen hurt her throat from screaming as the animal darted in front of my headlights and bumper. I felt a few small bumps and heard a "ting" off the metal of my Toyota's under carriage. Goodness...
